This is important, so please help spread the word. According to Wally Edge from politicsnj.com, it looks like Bergen County chair Joseph Ferriero may be trying to get revenge on Jon Corzine for not supporting his favored candidate for State Senate.
Brief background: Ferriero is upset because a few weeks ago, Corzine backed the much more progressive candidate Assemblywoman Loretta Weinberg to replace Byron Baer in a special party organization election for the state Senate. Ferriero had supported Hackensack Police Chief Ken Zisa. Long story short, after several rounds of court cases, Weinberg won by a few votes.
This may just be a case of someone trying to stir up trouble, so we need help getting confirmation that the following is either true or false:
According to Wally Edge, "A Bergen source now reports that Democratic volunteers in Bergen are being instructed to make phone calls only on behalf of the two Democtratic candidates for freeholder, incumbents David Ganz and Bernadette McPherson. Corzine's name has apparently been cut from the script."
